Can You Learn AI SEO (GEO) in a Two-Day Workshop?

Yes, you can learn the AI SEO (GEO) method in two days, and leave with the work started on your own brand. What two days cannot give you is the result. Getting named in AI answers depends on pages the engines re-read, other sites that name you, and checks repeated over weeks. So judge a two-day workshop by what you walk out with: a one-sentence description of your business, a list of buyer questions, a page drafted, a dated baseline check and a 30-day plan. Then the real test is whether you follow that plan.

Key takeaways

  • Two days is enough to learn the whole method and build the first pieces for your brand.
  • It is not enough to get other sites to name you, or to prove anything from the engines.
  • A good two-day course runs every exercise on your own business, so you leave with work, not notes.
  • The 30 days after matter more than the two days: publish, get named elsewhere, re-check each engine.
  • One check proves little. Results move between engines and between weeks, so check every month and date everything.

What can two days actually cover?

The whole method, if the course is built for it. AI SEO and GEO are the same job under two names: getting your business named inside the answers that ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini and Claude write. The method has eight parts, and they fit into two working days.

Here is how Stridec’s two-day AI SEO & GEO Workshop in Kuala Lumpur splits the eight chapters of The AI Search Playbook:

Day 1: what you are and what you publish

  1. Why ranking on page one no longer means being seen, and where your brand stands today.
  2. Say what you are in one sentence, and get every profile saying the same.
  3. Find the questions that get an AI answer.
  4. Write pages AI can quote: lead with the answer, keep facts in the visible text.

Day 2: getting named and keeping track

  1. Publish, then check the live page.
  2. Get other sites to name you.
  3. Check each engine, and keep checking, dated, with the exact words the AI used.
  4. AI search in 30 days: the steps as a working calendar.

Two days of this is a lot. It works because none of it needs code, and because each part produces something you can use the next morning.

What can two days not do?

Two days cannot make the engines name you, and nobody honest will promise when they will. Four things sit outside any classroom.

  • Other sites naming you. This takes contacts, outreach and time. It also matters most. Across 40 Google AI Overview results we checked for a branding agency client in September 2026, a business named on one source was named in the answer 27% of the time; on three or more sources, 87%.
  • Proof. Results move. Qwang Coffee, Alva’s own store, registered its domain on 23 August 2026 and was cited in a Google AI Overview within 48 hours. A single check, taken on the wrong day, tells you very little.
  • The weekly habit. Training teaches the steps. It cannot give you the hours to keep doing them.
  • Website changes you cannot make. If nobody on the team can edit the site, the pages you draft in the workshop wait in a document.

What makes a two-day AI SEO course worth the time?

Hands-on work on your own brand. If you spend two days on someone else’s case study, you go home with notes and still have all the work to do.

Check any outline for three things before you book:

  • Is it about being named, or about working faster? Many courses titled “AI SEO” teach how to use ChatGPT for SEO tasks: titles, meta descriptions, drafts. Useful, but a different skill from getting your business named in the AI answer. Make sure the outline covers the second if that is what you need.
  • Does every exercise use your business? Bring a laptop, your brand and website access if you have it.
  • Do you leave with a plan? The last session should turn what you built into a calendar for the next month.

Two-day formats are common in Malaysia. On 7 November 2026, AI Training Malaysia listed a two-day “AI SEO Training (AEO + GEO + SEO)” on-site, see its page, and OTC listed a two-day in-house “Master AI SEO (GEO) Optimization”, see its page. Compare outlines, not only titles.

What should you do in the 30 days after the workshop?

Publish what you built, start on other sites, and re-check. A simple four-week shape:

  1. Week 1: fix the description and take the baseline. Put your one-sentence description on the website, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile and every directory you are listed on, word for word. Record a dated check of your buyer questions across ChatGPT, Google, Gemini and Claude, noting who is named.
  2. Week 2: publish the pages. Finish the pages you drafted for your top questions. After publishing, open the live page and confirm the answer and the facts are in the visible text, not hidden in tabs or images.
  3. Week 3: get named elsewhere. List the sources the answers lean on, then work on getting onto them. In Malaysia, check the local ones. In a check we ran on 2 November 2026, 15 buyer questions from a Malaysian location across five AI engines (270 answers), the engines leaned on Malaysian directories, local “best of” articles and the service pages of firms that say clearly what they do and where.
  4. Week 4: re-check and report. Same questions, same engines, dated, with the exact words each engine used. Compare with week one and write it up in a few lines for your boss or yourself.

After that, check every month. Our post on how GEO results are measured shows what a report can look like.

Is a shorter course enough instead?

For some people, yes. It depends on whether you will do the work yourself.

  • If you brief a team or an agency, the three-hour AI SEO & GEO Masterclass shows how AI search picks businesses, checks where your brand stands, and leaves you with your first three changes.
  • If you want to see whether the topic matters to your business at all, the free one-hour AI SEO & GEO Webinar is online.
  • If you will run the work every week, the two days are worth it, because you build each piece with help in the room.

All three are taught by Alva Chew, Stridec’s founder, in search since 2001 and an ACLP-certified Registered Adult Educator. You can start with any of them; none is required before another.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need SEO experience before a two-day AI SEO workshop?
No. The workshop explains the website set-up steps in plain terms. Some SEO background helps you move faster, but the core work is describing your business clearly, answering buyer questions and checking the engines.
What should I bring to a two-day AI SEO workshop?
A laptop, your own brand to work on, and access to edit your website if you have it. A list of questions customers ask before they buy is a good head start.
Can a whole marketing team learn AI SEO in two days?
The people who will do the work weekly can. Leaders usually need a shorter session on why ranking is not enough and how to read the check you run each month. For a group working on one brand, corporate training can be planned around who is in the room.
Can I learn AI SEO from a book instead of a workshop?
Yes, if you are disciplined about doing each step and checking every month. The AI Search Playbook (US$297) covers the same eight chapters as the workshop. The workshop adds hands-on help on your own brand.
Is the two-day workshop HRD Corp claimable?
Stridec’s courses are not HRD Corp claimable at the moment.
