GEO Agency Malaysia: Get Named in AI Answers in Malaysia

Stridec is a Singapore-based GEO/SEO agency that helps brands get recommended by AI searches such as Google, ChatGPT and Claude. We serve clients across Southeast Asia, Malaysia included, as well as North America. GEO, AEO, AIO and AI SEO are the market’s names for the same job: getting your brand named inside the answer, not just listed below it.

Prices and scope are on the GEO services and pricing page. The search-ranking half of the same method is at SEO agency Malaysia, and our Singapore page is at GEO agency Singapore.

The answer a Malaysian buyer sees is not the one a Singapore buyer sees

Ask ChatGPT or Google for “the best GEO agency” from Kuala Lumpur and from Singapore, and you get two different lists. The engines search the web from where the question is asked. They weigh local directories, local “best agency” articles and the service pages of firms that say plainly which market they serve.

We checked this on 2 November 2026. We asked 15 buyer questions from a Malaysian location across Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude, 270 answers in all. The engines drew on directories such as Clutch and GoodFirms and on local “best agency” articles, and the agencies they named most often each had a Malaysia service page on their own site.

So the first job for a Malaysian brand is the same one we start with everywhere: make it easy for the engine to say what you are, who you serve and where.

What a GEO agency does

Generative engine optimisation is the work of getting your brand named inside the answers AI engines write. The engines are Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude. We measure whether your name appears in the answer text, which is different from your website appearing as one of the sources underneath. Only the first one brings you enquiries.

Here is what usually goes wrong. A brand publishes more than anyone in its category and still isn’t quoted, because its pages are written in adjectives. “Results-driven” can’t be lifted into an answer, because it says nothing a reader could check. Numbers can. When we built Alva’s own coffee store, every phrase Google quoted from it was a fact: a price, a bottle size, a delivery day. Not one adjective survived.

What is in scope

  • What you are, in one sentence. Brand, product type, customer and outcome, written plainly and held the same across every page, title and profile.
  • A live check of your market. For each question a buyer asks: does an AI answer appear, who is named, and which pages the engine is reading. For Malaysia we run that check from a Malaysian location.
  • A target list that can be won. Each question has to show an AI answer, draw on several sources and carry buying intent before it gets budget.
  • Pages built to be quoted. At least 8, 15 or 25 pieces a month, depending on the tier.
  • Brand mentions from the S$4,500 tier, and link building at S$8,000.
  • A monthly citation snapshot per engine, with the question, market and date on every reading.

Outside sources carry more weight than your own site

One of our clients, a branding agency, showed this clearly. Across 40 Google AI Overview results in September 2026, a business that appeared on one source was named 27% of the time. A business on three or more sources was named 87% of the time. The engines trust what several independent pages agree on.

For Malaysia, that means the directory listings and the local “best agency” articles the engines already read. Part of every engagement is finding which of those sources the engines use for your questions, then getting your brand onto them with the same description you use on your own site.

If you would rather run it yourself, the AI Search Playbook sets out the whole method for US$297, tested on six real businesses, wins and failures included.

Proof we can show you

Qwang Coffee is Alva’s own Shopify store, selling bottled Vietnamese coffee. The domain was registered on 23 August 2026, with no backlinks, no ads and no reviews. It was indexed within an hour, on page one within 24 hours, and cited in Google’s AI Overview within 48 hours. It was listed first on 3 of 5 commercial questions we tracked in Singapore. Within a week every Google AI Overview citation was gone, while ChatGPT still named Qwang first. We keep that part in because it is how the engines behave.

AeroChat, Alva’s own software product, is where the method started. In early 2026 it reached its first Google AI Overview in under three weeks, with 343% growth in impressions, 127% growth in clicks and a 74% share of branded search, period over period.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a GEO or AEO agency charge in Malaysia?

Stridec publishes its prices: S$2,500 a month for GEO Foundations on one channel, S$4,500 for GEO Authority on Google and ChatGPT, and S$8,000 for Full-Spectrum GEO + SEO on Google, ChatGPT and Claude. Prices are in Singapore dollars, monthly, cancel anytime, with two months free on an annual term.

What is a GEO agency?

A GEO agency does generative engine optimisation. It works to get your brand named inside the answers that AI engines write, such as Google AI Overviews, Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude, rather than only ranked in the list of links below them. GEO here has nothing to do with geography.

Can a Singapore agency do GEO for a Malaysian brand?

Yes. The engines are the same in both countries. What changes is where you check from and which local sources the engines read. Stridec checks AI answers from a Malaysian location and looks at the Malaysian directories and articles the engines draw on for your questions.

How do I choose a GEO agency in Malaysia?

Ask for four things with every result an agency claims: the engine, the question, the market and the date. Then repeat the question yourself from a logged-out browser in Malaysia. A result reported as an average across all engines hides the fact that each engine answers differently.

Why do AI engines recommend some agencies and not others?

They name the businesses they can describe with confidence, and they trust what several independent sources agree on. For one of our clients, a branding agency, a business found on one source was named 27% of the time across 40 Google AI Overview results in September 2026, and a business on three or more sources was named 87% of the time.

Can I do GEO myself?

Yes. The AI Search Playbook, second edition, sets out the method for US$297, tested on six real businesses, wins and failures included. Most clients hire an agency for the publishing volume and the monthly readings per engine.
