SEO Agency Malaysia: Rankings and AI Answers, Checked From Malaysia

Stridec is a Singapore-based GEO/SEO agency that helps brands get recommended by AI searches such as Google, ChatGPT and Claude. We serve clients across Southeast Asia, Malaysia included, as well as North America. We have worked in search since 2001, and we run SEO and GEO together under one method.

Prices and scope are on the GEO services and pricing page. The AI-answer half of the same method is at GEO agency Malaysia, and our Singapore page is at SEO agency Singapore.

Ranking first doesn’t mean you get the click any more

Our own site taught us this. On stridec.com, searches that didn’t include our name and where we ranked first to third got a click-through rate of 0.08% between June and August 2026. Searches that did include our name got 27%. When Google answers the question at the top of the page, a good ranking on its own earns very little.

So SEO in 2026 has two scores. One is where your page ranks in the list of links. The other is whether your brand is named in the AI answer above them. We work on both, and we report them separately, because they move for different reasons.

What changes when your buyers are in Malaysia

Google, ChatGPT and the other engines answer from where the question is asked. A buyer in Kuala Lumpur and a buyer in Singapore typing the same words get different results and different AI answers. We checked this on 2 November 2026: 15 buyer questions asked from a Malaysian location, 270 AI answers across five engines. The engines drew on directories such as Clutch and GoodFirms and on local “best of” articles, and the agencies they named most often each had a Malaysia service page on their own site.

That shapes the work. We check rankings and AI answers from Malaysia, not from Singapore. We look at which Malaysian directories and “best of” articles the engines read for your questions. And we make sure your own pages say plainly that you serve Malaysia.

What is in scope

  • Technical SEO. Indexing, crawlability, site speed, internal links and structured data, so Google and Bing can read every page that matters.
  • The questions worth owning. Search terms chosen from what your buyers type, checked live for whether an AI answer appears and who it names.
  • Pages built to rank and to be quoted. At least 8, 15 or 25 pieces a month, depending on the tier, written with numbers rather than adjectives.
  • Links and mentions. Brand mentions from the S$4,500 tier, and link building at S$8,000.
  • Search Console and GA4 connected, and a monthly report that shows rankings and AI answers side by side.

How an engagement runs

  1. Audit. The questions your customers ask Google and ChatGPT in Malaysia, who is named instead of you, and the terms worth going after.
  2. Build and publish. Pages written to be cited rather than to hit a word count.
  3. Track and adjust. Monthly readings per engine, with the question, the market and the date on each one, so you can check them yourself.

What SEO costs

We publish our prices. They are in Singapore dollars, monthly, cancel anytime, with two months free on an annual term.

Tier Monthly Engines Core topics Search terms Published
GEO Foundations S$2,500 Google or ChatGPT 3 30 to 50 at least 8 a month
GEO Authority S$4,500 Google and ChatGPT 7 80 to 300 at least 15 a month
Full-Spectrum GEO + SEO S$8,000 Google, ChatGPT and Claude up to 20 full keyword universe at least 25 a month

Traditional SEO is part of the full-spectrum tier. If you would rather do the work in-house, the AI Search Playbook sets out the method for US$297.

Proof we can show you

AeroChat, Alva’s own software product, is where this method started. In early 2026 it reached its first Google AI Overview in under three weeks, with 343% growth in impressions, 127% growth in clicks and a 74% share of branded search, period over period.

Qwang Coffee, Alva’s own store, started on a domain registered on 23 August 2026. It was indexed within an hour, on page one of Google within 24 hours and cited in an AI Overview within 48 hours. More results are on the case studies page.

Frequently asked questions

How much do AI SEO agencies charge in Malaysia?

Stridec publishes its prices: S$2,500 a month for GEO Foundations, S$4,500 for GEO Authority and S$8,000 for Full-Spectrum GEO + SEO. Prices are in Singapore dollars, monthly, cancel anytime, with two months free on an annual term.

Should I hire an SEO agency or a freelancer?

A freelancer costs less per month. The difference is how much ground one person can cover: one channel and a handful of topics, which is roughly the S$2,500 tier. Publishing at least 25 pieces a month across three engines needs a team, and that is what the S$8,000 tier pays for.

What is the best AI SEO agency for a small business?

Judge on evidence you can check. Ask whether the agency publishes its own before-and-after numbers with dates, and whether it has run the method on something it owns. Stridec ran it on AeroChat, its founder Alva Chew’s own software product, before selling it: a first Google AI Overview in under three weeks in early 2026.

Is SEO still worth it now that Google shows AI answers?

Yes, but ranking alone earns less. On stridec.com, searches without our name where we ranked first to third got a 0.08% click-through rate from June to August 2026. Searches with our name got 27%. You need the ranking and the mention in the AI answer.

Is GEO replacing SEO?

No. GEO is a branch of SEO. Indexing, site structure, internal links and clear descriptions of what you sell are the same work. What changes is the score, because the engine now writes an answer instead of only listing links. Stridec runs both under one method.

Can I do SEO on my own?

Yes. The AI Search Playbook, second edition, sets out the full method for US$297 as a one-off purchase, with future updates included. An agency adds publishing volume and monthly measurement per engine.
