How Much Does GEO Cost in Malaysia? Published Prices Compared

GEO in Malaysia costs from about RM2,000 a month as an add-on to an SEO retainer up to RM30,000 a month for a full programme, going by the agencies that publish their prices. On 2 November 2026, Hypercharge listed RM2,000 to RM3,000 a month on top of its SEO retainer, Primal listed programmes “from RM5,500 a month”, and Oblique listed RM10,000 to RM30,000 a month. Stridec, a Singapore agency serving Malaysia, charges S$2,500, S$4,500 or S$8,000 a month. LOCUS-T, Cleverus and MYSense don’t publish a GEO price.

Disclosure: Stridec wrote this page and is one of the agencies in it. Every other agency’s figure comes from our comparison of the best GEO agencies in Malaysia, which took each one from that agency’s own website on 2 November 2026. Prices change, so check the agency’s page before you decide.

What do agencies serving Malaysia charge for GEO?

Four of the seven agencies in our Malaysia comparison publish a GEO price. Here they are as each agency stated them on 2 November 2026.

Published GEO prices, taken from each agency’s own website on 2 November 2026
Agency Based in Published GEO price What the price covers
Hypercharge Kuala Lumpur “typically adds RM2,000 to RM3,000 per month to the base SEO retainer” GEO added to an SEO retainer
Primal Kuala Lumpur “Programs from RM5,500 a month” A GEO programme, starting price
Oblique Kuala Lumpur “typically range from RM 10,000 to RM 30,000 per month” GEO, paired with brand and creative work
Stridec Singapore, serving Malaysia S$2,500, S$4,500 or S$8,000 a month SEO and GEO together, three tiers
LOCUS-T Petaling Jaya Not published Customised packages
Cleverus Kuala Lumpur Not published GEO for businesses with SEO already in place
MYSense Petaling Jaya Not published GEO for Malaysian SMEs

The low and high ends are not the same product. Hypercharge’s figure is an extra on top of an SEO retainer you are already paying for, so the total is higher than RM2,000. Oblique’s range includes brand and creative work from the same team. Primal’s is a starting price. Read each price with what it covers.

The full profiles, with each agency’s location, team size, awards and who they suit, are in the Malaysia comparison.

Why do GEO prices vary so much?

Prices vary because GEO isn’t one fixed task. Five things drive most of the cost.

1. How many buyer questions and topics are covered

Each topic you want to be named for needs its own pages, its own sources and its own checks. A plan that covers a handful of questions for one product costs less than one that covers every service you sell. This is the biggest single driver.

2. How much content is made

The engines need pages that say exactly what you are, who you serve and how you differ, in plain words they can quote. Writing and keeping those pages current takes time each month. More topics means more pages.

3. How much work goes into other sites

Your own pages get you cited. Other people’s pages describing you the same way get you named. In September 2026, across 40 Google AI Overview results for a branding agency client, a business on one source was named 27% of the time, and a business on three or more sources was named 87% of the time. Getting independent sites to describe you takes outreach, and that is a large part of what the higher tiers pay for.

4. Whether SEO is included

Some prices assume you already pay for SEO. Others include it. GEO sits on top of SEO, and they work best done together, so check which one you are being quoted. Hypercharge prices GEO as an add-on. Cleverus says its GEO service suits businesses that already have SEO in place. Stridec’s prices cover SEO and GEO together.

5. Where and how the answers are checked

The engines answer differently depending on where and in what language you ask. On 2 November 2026 we asked 15 buyer questions from a Malaysian location across five AI engines, 270 answers in all, and The answers leaned on Malaysian directories, local “best of” articles and firms with a clear Malaysia service page. On 4 November 2026 we asked “best GEO agency” in English and in the local language from Vietnam and Thailand in Google AI Mode. Only one agency appeared in both answers in Vietnam, and none in Thailand. If your buyers ask in Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese as well as English, the work has to cover those answers too, and so does the checking.

What do Stridec’s prices cover?

Stridec charges S$2,500 a month for GEO Foundations, S$4,500 for GEO Authority and S$8,000 for Full-Spectrum GEO + SEO. We quote in Singapore dollars only.

Every tier covers all the main AI engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini and Claude. The tiers differ in how many topics and search terms they cover, how much content we make, and how much amplification work goes into other sites describing you. The full detail is on our GEO services and pricing page.

The method behind every tier is the same. We call it the Brand Authority Directive. AI doesn’t pick the biggest brand. It picks the one it understands most clearly and can quote most precisely. So we write down exactly what your business is, who it serves and how it is different, hold that the same across your site and profiles, and get independent sources to describe you the same way. We judge the work by how often your brand is named inside the answer.

We run the work from Singapore and check answers from a Malaysian location, because that is where your buyers ask. More on that is on our GEO agency Malaysia page.

Is the cheapest GEO option good value?

It can be, if it fits your situation. An add-on at RM2,000 to RM3,000 a month makes sense if you already have good SEO and want a few questions covered. It is poor value if nothing gets measured, because you can’t tell whether you are being named.

The better comparison is what each price gets you named for. Ask each agency which questions it will cover, and how it will show you, each month, whether the answer names you. A cheaper plan that is measured honestly can beat a dearer one that reports only traffic. Our guide to how GEO results are measured shows what that report should look like, with a sample.

What should you ask before you pay for GEO?

Ask these on every call, and ask for the answers in writing:

  • Which buyer questions will you cover? Get the list, not a count.
  • Which engines will you check, from where, and in which languages? Answers from a Malaysian location can differ from Singapore’s.
  • Will you report how often we are named, or only how often we are cited? Cited means your page is a source. Named means the answer recommends you.
  • Which other sites will describe us, and how many? That is where much of the cost and much of the result sits.
  • Is SEO included, or do we need to buy it separately?
  • Can we see your own named rate, misses included? An agency that only shows its wins can’t show you what it would fix.

What if the budget isn’t there yet?

Then do the first part yourself. You can check where you stand today, learn the method and decide later whether to hand it over. Our guide to hiring a GEO agency, training your team or doing it yourself sets out which route fits which business. The AI Search Playbook (US$297) sets out the full method, tested on six real businesses.

Frequently asked questions

How much does GEO cost in Malaysia?
Among agencies that published prices on 2 November 2026: RM2,000 to RM3,000 a month added to an SEO retainer (Hypercharge), from RM5,500 a month (Primal), and RM10,000 to RM30,000 a month (Oblique). Stridec charges S$2,500, S$4,500 or S$8,000 a month. LOCUS-T, Cleverus and MYSense quote on request.
Is GEO more expensive than SEO?
Not always. Some agencies price GEO as an extra on top of SEO, so you pay for both. Others, Stridec included, price SEO and GEO together, because GEO sits on top of SEO and they work best as one job. Compare the total you would pay, not the GEO line alone.
Do higher Stridec tiers cover more AI engines?
No. Every Stridec tier covers all the main AI engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini and Claude. The tiers differ in topics, search terms, content volume and amplification. See our GEO services and pricing.
Can a Singapore agency do GEO for a Malaysian business?
Yes. The engines are the same in both countries. What matters is checking the answers from a Malaysian location, in the languages your buyers use, and knowing which Malaysian sources the engines read for your questions.
Does GEO mean geographic or location-based marketing?
No. GEO here means generative engine optimisation: getting your brand named in the answers AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews write. It has nothing to do with maps, geography or geofencing.
