Frequently asked questions.

Is my company eligible for MRA?

If you're a Singapore-registered business with at least 30% local equity, group turnover under S$100M, and annual sales under S$100K in your target overseas market over the past 3 years — you likely qualify. We'll confirm eligibility on the consultation call.

Can I apply for multiple overseas markets?

Yes. Each market is a separate MRA application. You can start with one and add more later. Each market qualifies for up to S$20,000 in support under the Overseas Marketing & PR pillar.

How is this different from traditional SEO?

Traditional SEO gets you into the list of links. AI Overview optimisation gets your brand cited as the source Google's AI uses to answer the question — before anyone looks at the links. In a new market where you have zero brand presence, this is significantly faster at establishing visibility.

Do I need to do the MRA application myself?

Yes — EnterpriseSG requires the applicant company to submit directly via the Business Grants Portal. Third parties cannot apply on your behalf. However, we prepare all vendor documentation, the proposal, quotation, and deliverables framework for your submission.

What happens at audit stage?

All MRA claims require an audit by a pre-qualified auditor (EnterpriseSG reimburses up to S$500). Our deliverables are structured from day one to satisfy audit requirements — monthly reports, geo-filtered analytics, content archives, and documented KPIs.

How quickly will I see results?

Most clients see their first AI Overview appearances within 2–4 weeks of content going live. The 6-month engagement gives us time to build and expand visibility across multiple keyword clusters in your target market.

What if I'm already operating in the target market?

Currently, MRA requires the market to be "new" (under S$100K annual sales in each of the past 3 years). From H2 2026, this requirement is being removed — meaning companies can use MRA to deepen presence in existing markets too.

Is this available for non-ASEAN markets?

Yes. MRA covers any overseas market. While ASEAN is the most common target for Singapore SMEs, the grant applies globally.
